Your Maui
is ready.

A note from a local

"Book the reservation 60 days ahead, exactly at midnight HST — they go fast. It's 40°F at the summit; gloves and a real jacket, not a hoodie."

A note from a local

"Drive the loop counter-clockwise to skip the traffic. Stop in Keʻanae for the banana bread from Aunty Sandy's — sells out by lunch."

A note from a local

"Don't pocket the black sand — it's said to bring misfortune, and the land needs it. Stay back from any honu (sea turtle) sunning on the shore."

A note from a local

"Bring cash and a six-pack to share — this is someone's actual backyard. Show up before 7pm or the kālua's gone."
